What in the world is IFA?

I am sure you heard this from friends and family member a like at one time or another. So you explain what IFA is and they look at you like you were speaking youruba lol. Then you tell them to go online then that turns to a whole new adventure and don't let them see somebody that has a grudge with IFA and they say the catch all phrase devil worshiping or witchcraft that really can spark up a wild conversation or a meeting with the pastor. So this is what i came up with to help you in that particular situation. First thing you should do is go to your alter and grab some rum no no no let me rephrase that the first thing you should really do is let them know this is not a religion its a culture next let them know we do believe in god we just address him as OLODUMARE this is when they start to listen to you then you can explain we worship OLODUMARE and we work with the orisha. I say that because lots of people believe we worship multiple gods when that is not the case. last you can let them know if they are interested they can talk to a competent baba, priestess ,or look on the internet with an open mind i might add and do some research.
